Voices of Change: Government Launches Creative ‘Badalta Bharat’ Campaign with Prizes for Citizens

New Delhi [India], June 21: As India strides confidently into its future, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B), in collaboration with MyGov, has issued a call to citizens that blends patriotism with creativity. Titled #BadaltaBharatMeraAnubhav, this vibrant Badalta Bharat campaign celebrates 11 years of transformative governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The initiative opens the stage for every Indian, from filmmakers and writers to vloggers and quiz whizzes, to document their vision of a rapidly changing India. And yes, there are hefty cash prizes involved.

The Badalta Bharat campaign is more than a contest. It is a nationwide call to pause, document, and celebrate the advancements that have characterised the last ten years.

From digital empowerment to infrastructural improvements, from the growth of women-led development to global economic standing, the campaign aims to showcase individual stories that reflect India’s path to becoming Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Five Ways to Chronicle a Changing India | Badalta Bharat

With entries closing on 9th July 2025, citizens are encouraged to participate in five creative challenges, each tapping into different talents and platforms. Let’s take a look at what’s on offer:

1. Instagram Reel Challenge

Users are encouraged to make 30- to 60-second clips that capture the spirit of Digital India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, or Skill India. These reels should be brief, sharp, and visually appealing.  The stories should be brief and intimate, regardless of whether the subject is a villager who has become tech-savvy or an ordinary entrepreneur who is riding the digital wave.

  • 💰 Prize Pool: ₹50,000 for the winner, ₹25,000 and ₹10,000 for runners-up, plus ₹5,000 each for seven consolation prizes. Join Here

2. YouTube Shorts Challenge

This is where heartfelt moments meet 60-second cinematics. From upgraded railway stations to smart governance in rural belts, the lens is wide open. Content creators are encouraged to tell authentic stories that echo India’s transformation.

3. BlogBharat: Write the Change

For those who think in paragraphs rather than pixels, this is your platform. Writers, students, researchers, and bloggers can pen 800–1200-word essays reflecting India’s development across sectors like women’s empowerment, business ease, or foreign diplomacy.

  • Prize Pool: ₹50,000 to the top essayist, with runner-up prizes of ₹25,000, ₹10,000, and consolation amounts of ₹5,000 for seven others. Submit Your Blog

4. Viksit Bharat Quiz 2025

Time to test that general knowledge. This quiz offers a brainy route to engagement, covering policy reforms, tech revolutions, and key government initiatives. With 300+ prizes and a top reward of ₹1 lakh, it’s as much about learning as it is about winning.

  • Prize Pool: ₹1 lakh, ₹75,000, ₹50,000, and cash prizes for hundreds more. All participants receive a digital certificate. Take the Quiz

5. Short AV Challenge – The Story of New India

For budding filmmakers and documentary enthusiasts, this is the big stage. Create a short film (up to 10 minutes) that captures a slice of India’s transformation, be it through cinematic visuals, citizen-led initiatives, or development journeys.

  • Prize Pool: A staggering ₹3 lakh for the winner, ₹2 lakh and ₹1 lakh for runners-up, and ₹20,000 each for two consolation winners. Enter the Challenge

Celebrating Development, One Story at a Time

The democratic ethos of the campaign and its range of venues are its real assets. This initiative provides everyone a voice and an opportunity to be heard, whether they are seasoned creators in Mumbai or children in tier-2 villages.

The topics cover a range of subjects, such as national security, grassroots welfare, urban development, and India’s rise to prominence as a major economic force worldwide.

Participants are urged to share their personal accounts of India’s transformation over the last ten years using the hashtag #BadaltaBharatMeraAnubhav.

Beyond the awards, the project embodies the fundamental principles of democratic governance and people-led growth that are central to the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision.

Digital India, Real Stories

These real-world accounts of empowerment, resiliency, creativity, and opportunity are what give the country’s change life, even while statistics, GDP growth charts, and development indicators have their place.  The Ministry of I&B is transforming citizens into storytellers and chroniclers of the Indian journey by honouring these micro-narratives.

Now is your chance to share your experiences, whether they involve the gradual but steady improvement of people’s lives, the digital transformation of your village, or policy-driven reform.

And win.
