Priyanka Basu woos music lovers through her melodious voice

March 11: Music touches us emotionally and connects, where words fail. It’s a form of energy that fuels us up and inspires us to face the challenges of life. Well, it’s a source of entertainment for some, whereas, for versatile Singer, Lyricist, and Music Composer Priyanka Basu, music is life. She says, “Music is my breath and I cannot envision an existence without it.” Hailing from a Bengali family, multiple forms of arts were a part of her upbringing. However it was music that she flowed with. She received her formal training from her parents and went ahead to pursue Masters in Music (Classical), and Masters in Music (Nazrul Geeti, Sugam). With over 12 years of experience as a musical mentor in leading schools of Ahmedabad, Priyanka knew life has more to offer. She started her career in 2002 and performed in major cities of India such as Bangalore, Indore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bhopal, Nasik, Jodhpur, and so on. She also performed in music concerts in the UK, Hong-kong, the Middle East, and South Africa.

Priyanka Basu is an art admirer who believes that art should be something that evokes emotion. She has been significantly contributing to the field of Art & Culture for the last 20 years and has inspired thousands of people in her journey. She is the Founder of Club Shivranjani – A Retro Houseful Club, wherein different musical concepts are presented with leading stage artists from across the country. She is presently the Director of Trideva Events, an event management company. Priyanka is a visionary who wouldn’t fret strolling the additional miles to accomplish her goals. She inspires today’s youth and urges them “to create opportunities rather than wait for one. ”

Priyanka takes pride in having sung for Gujarati Movies and Rajasthani movies apart from making her albums, writing lyrics, and composing tunes. Besides owning 3 non-stop Garba Albums under her name, she has also worked as a music director in an 11 episode web series called Wow Womaniya. Priyanka is the proud recipient of:
