September 28: Farming is a very crucial part of the Indian economy as it adds more the 18 per cent of the GDP of the country. It gives employment to over 60 per cent of the Indian population. The agricultural sector is one of the most important pillars of the Indian economy. But lately, farmers are facing some major issues in this sector, for example, agricultural marketing, scarcity of capital, lack of mechanization, soil erosion, problems with manures, fertilizers, and biocides. The KBJ Group aims to change this narrative by entering the agricultural sector themselves, not just investing in it but actively taking part in agriculture. Mr. Mohit Kamboj and his company aim to work at the grassroots level with farmers through KBJ farming.

The KBJ Group is a private conglomerate firm led by entrepreneur Mr. Mohit Bharatiya aka Mohit Kamboj. His business is spread out over a plethora of sectors such as bullion jewellery, entertainment, real estate, and hospitality. The KBJ Group is now extending a branch in farming as well. Farmers are the backbone of our nation and Mr. Kamboj wants to back them with every essential thing they need.

Nowadays, the farming culture is dying; nobody wants to become a farmer. If we ask the young generation what they want to become once they grow up they all are going to come up with different ideas like how they want to become doctors, engineers, teachers. pilots, scientists but we never hear them saying that they want to become farmers because according to them it is not a desirable profession. All these reasons have played a role in the KBJ Groups’ decision to help the agricultural sector by providing them with the right resources. The company aims at helping farmers and laborers earn a living through agriculture itself rather than looking for opportunities to earn elsewhere.

Bringing a change in the agricultural sector is the sole objective of KBJ Group. That objective is supported by three strong pillars i.e. modern technology, quality output, and scalability. Mr. Mohit Kamboj has acquired 570 acres of land in Solapur, Maharashtra to transform KBJ Group’s vision into reality. Initially, the plan is to grow onion and soybean during phase -1. Mr. Mohit Bharatiya is looking to acquire the resources that are necessary to reap high-quality output. The KBJ group aims to develop an end-to-end agricultural ecosystem that includes warehousing and processing units.

This initiative by the KBJ Group is not only going to provide farmers with the best technology and equipment but is also going to help them to cultivate the best quality output. The company will also generate employment for thousands of labourers who belong to numerous villages in and around Solapur. Other than just generating employment, the company will also be training these laborers which will boost the efficiency of the whole process while ensuring optimum utilization of the resources. The whole idea to invest in this sector is because to regenerate the culture of farming in India. The agricultural sector is expected to grow at a steady pace thanks to initiatives like the one taken by the KBJ Group. The development of agriculture infrastructure such as irrigation facilities, warehousing, etc. is a key factor that fuels the initiative that’s designed to help improve the yield for Indian farmers.

Mr. Mohit Kamboj is a self-made entrepreneur who has worked very hard to be successful in his life. He has a sharp mind for business and knows exactly what should be done to gain fruitful results and also by doing something good for his country. He gives the credit to his father and shares his admiration for his father’s keen business sense and his teachings of ins and outs of the business. Mr. Mohit Kamboj believes in providing equal opportunity to everyone in the country irrespective of caste, creed, gender, and colour. Mr. Mohit’s love for his motherland reflects through these initiatives and truly he wants to bring a change in the lives of farmers who are an important part of this nation.
