Kath N Ghat, a fine dining restaurant based out of Thane, the interiors are similar to Pune’s Shaniwar Wada. The food is served on Panchadhatu / Kansa plate and water in copper glass. As part of our expansion plan, in 2019 August, we have set up our central kitchen in Thane itself which is spread over 2500 sqft. Metkut, got its first franchisee in December 2020 when the entire world was facing tough situations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, for Metkut itself, we are looking at opening 50 outlets in the next three years.”

For this, Metkut is looking at expanding by adopting three different models. One is they are looking at opening their outlets in Malls in Food courts. Besides, Metkut is also looking at opening up restaurants on National Highways like Pune-Kolhapur National Highway. Thirdly, Metkut is looking at opening restaurants in the Hi-street areas also.

Speaking on Kath N Ghat’s expansion plans, Chef Sunny said “Post tasting success for the last 5 years, we are looking at opening up 4 more restaurants in the next two-year time frame. Of which, two of them we are planning in Mumbai itself. Besides, we are also looking at expanding our base in major metro cities Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Rajasthan, Nagpur, Pune, and Goa. For this expansion programme, we are looking at investors. Besides, we are also entering into the sweets and spices market under the brand name of MetKut itself and it will be available to customers through our existing outlets as well as online.”
