New Delhi [India], August 24: An eight-year-old Indian boy has taken the international pageant stage by storm. Kiaan Mahendrakar, who began his journey as a Little Astral Star Kid, has been crowned Little Mr. Universe 2026 in the Philippines, marking a proud international milestone for India and for Astral Pageants.
Kiaan’s journey began at Astral Pageants, under the guidance and mentorship of Astral Pageants Director Pratibha Saunshimath. What started as a platform to discover and nurture young talent evolved into an international journey that took Kiaan from the Astral Star Kids stage in India to the global spotlight in Manila.
Representing India with pride, Kiaan impressed throughout the competition with his confidence, stage presence and personality. His journey included the national costume presentation as Lord Rama, the closed-door interview, corporate walk, talent performance and the much-awaited grand finale.
His finale performance was a highlight of the evening. From his energetic introduction and powerful Grand Elegance Walk as Lord Rama to his sophisticated Formal Glitter Wear Walk, Kiaan displayed remarkable confidence and maturity for his age.
His efforts were recognised with six special awards — Enchanted Kingdom Award, Best in Formal Wear, Best in National Costume, Mr. Friendship, Best in Production Attire and Best in Preliminary Round.
And then came the defining moment — Kiaan was crowned Little Mr. Universe 2026.
Behind this achievement is his mother, Gagana, whose constant support, dedication and involvement stood beside Kiaan throughout the demanding journey. Equally significant was the guidance of Pratibha Saunshimath, who mentored Kiaan through his preparation, presentation, confidence, stage presence and pageant journey.
