He also served as Scientist-D at the Centre for Orchid Gene Conservation of the Eastern Himalayan Region (SERB, DST), contributing to scientific research and conservation. Beyond the laboratory, he is also a nationally award-winning photographer whose artistic vision complements his scientific curiosity.

His literary journey began with the publication of Rodentia – Rise of the Rodents, introducing readers to his distinctive blend of science fiction and imaginative storytelling. With Keibukeioiba – When the Forest Wakes, his second novel, he takes his creative vision a step further by drawing inspiration from the rich folklore of his homeland.

Rather than portraying Keibukeioiba as the fearsome villain traditionally found in Manipuri legends, Dr. Kishor chooses to explore the character’s hidden humanity. He imagines a being capable of love, compassion, and sacrifice, challenging the conventional divide between heroes and villains.
