Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 1: Star Movies has been the Official Home of Oscars in India for over two decades and continuing their successful association in 2022, India’s leading English movie channel is proud to showcase the 94th Academy Awards held at Los Angeles recently.
Post two years of pandemic, the 94th Academy Awards returned to Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on March 27. The Hollywood stars showed up in their glamorous best, walked the red carpet in style and the deserving ones took the coveted trophy home!
Deaf family drama “CODA” won the best picture award, Will Smith and Jessica Chastain took the honours in the individual category, Encanto, No Time to Die, Belfast and Dune were other noteworthy winners at the gala event.
Apart from the brilliant films that were celebrated, there were some amazing performances at the Academy Awards. Four out of the five songs nominated for Best Original Song were performed which includes appearances from Beyoncé and Billie Eilish (plus an extra special rendition of We Don’t Talk About Bruno). Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra also sang Dos Oruguitas from the Disney favourite Encanto, a subtle performance that was a total stunner. A special Oscars reunion of the Pulp Fiction cast with Samuel Jackson, Uma Thurman and John Travolta left everyone with a stream of nostalgia.
